The Anvil! "Scanner" is the alert and monitoring system for the Anvil! HA platform.

This needs to be an option that is default-disabled and is enabled by users with very high storage write speeds.

Note: If a relearn cycle is activated, mark the node as unhealthy and migrate servers to the peer if possible, then stop then go "Diskless" until the learn cycle ends. Re-attach the disk and migrate servers back once the relearn cycle is complete.

ToDo:

• If the cache policy becomes 'WriteThrough", the performance will degrade dramatically. In performance-sensitive Anvil! systems, the agent should:
  • Set the "unhealthy" flag.
  • *IF* the peer is healthy, proceed. If not, abort here and send a "critical" error.
  • ?? Tell DRBD to go Diskless (test to see how badly high-throughput systems fall behind)
  • Migrate servers off to the peer.
