 AN!Wiki :: PDU

In clustering, an addressable PDU (Power Distribution Unit) is, essentially, a network-connected power bar where the power to any given plug can be remotely and individually controlled. This makes is useful as a cluster fence device.

An example would be APC's Switched Rack PDU.
