Alteeve Wiki :: Big Endian |
In a binary string, 'Big Endianess' indicated that the least significant bit is on the right side.
A big-endian byte would thus be structured like this:
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 <- Binary string consisting of 8-bits. | | | | | | | \- 128 | | | | | | \--- 64 | | | | | \----- 32 | | | | \------- 16 | | | | | | | \----------- 8 | | \------------- 4 | \--------------- 2 \----------------- 1 ^ | Relative Value
